Alexandra Datig started HighRoad L.A. in 2007 because she believes "giving voice to someone's dream is one of the greatest gifts in life."  

After many years of working in media relations, content production, politics and campaigning to help people get elected, Datig is now giving voice to her own dream. As editor in chief of the political media resource Front Page Index, Datig shares her views on current events in politics and news.


Datig is a political advisor and consultant who has a long-standing background with experience of more than 15 years in campaigning on issues of public safety, public policy, environmental issues, drug policy, human trafficking. 

Gaining her early experience in the political arena in the second largest city of the United States, the City of Los Angeles, has given her an extra edge. Working with and campaigning for several high ranking elected officials alongside Los Angeles City Councilman and California State Senator Nate Holden, has offered valuable insight on the local, state and national political landscape. 

Her campaign experience includes Mayor of Los Angeles, Los Angeles City Council campaigns, supervisory elections, ballot measures, state-wide campaigns, slates, as well as national initiatives and public awareness and information campaigns. 

A specialist in multi-media web content and home studio construction, she is the designer, creator and content manager of several successful websites and blogs.  As editor in chief of the popular political news site Front Page Index, she produces her own content from news highlight videos and podcasts on current events.  Her experience in media also includes producing over 100 shows of the nationally syndicated Larry Elder Show, accompanied by a blog she created for the show that gained more than 3 million views in its first year.

In the field of public relations, she has organized news conferences on behalf of a number of elected officials and issue campaigns as well as members from the Executive Branch of the White House and the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the U.S. Drug Czar.  In 2015 she, sponsored Larry Elder, working with the City of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Chamber, to secure a nomination for a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Elder. 

Currently, Datig oversees operations of a of a highly reputable government labor relations law firm in Downtown Los Angeles, California. She also managed a prominent business and real estate litigation firm in Beverly Hills, California, specializing in partnership disputes. Datig also managed a small civil rights law practice headed by a former longtime Assistant Los Angeles City Attorney who specialized in law enforcement litigation, involving police practices and police union negotiations. 

In 2011, Datig served as an advisor to the Transition Team for California Attorney General Kamala Harris' subcommittee on Environmental Justice, and in 2010, was instrumental in the defeat of California Proposition 19, The Regulate Control & Tax Cannabis Act. In 2012, Datig was also a strong supporter of the historic measure California Proposition 35, Stop Human Trafficking in California, for which she acted as liaison to secure a unanimous endorsement from the Los Angeles City Council with a motion introduced by Los Angeles Councilwoman Jan Perry, seconded by Los Angeles City Councilman Tom LaBonge. Prop. 35 enacts the most sever penalties against child and adult youth sex traffickers, placing them on the state sex offender registry. Prop. 35 also funds training for law enforcement to recognize victims and get him or her into treatment and rehabilitation.

Datig has an Associates degree in Communications and pursued a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration Management. As a licensed real estate agent, she also worked at Sotheby's International Realty, Beverly Hills.  

She was honored by the Los Angeles City Council for an independent investigation conducted on massive pollution of the L.A. River by the Los Angeles Equestrian Center and serves on the Advisory Board for the Coalition for a Drug Free California. She also served on the County of Los Angeles Task Force for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children, helping to develop a nationwide strategy to aid victims of human trafficking. 

Presently, Datig, a human trafficking survivor, is working on matters closest to her heart described in her biography which, at this time, is in its final editing stage. Datig has never been married and has no children.

Her work on many critical issues affecting communities today has given Datig the opportunity to work alongside some of the most influential individuals and organizations that are involved with the in-depth issues on drug policy. Organizations include the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP),The Department of Justice, California Narcotics Officers Association (CNOA), Western States Vice Officers Association, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims, Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey and former L.A. D.A. Steve Cooley, former Secretary of Education and U.S. Drug Czar Bill Bennett, Calvina Fay, Executive Director of the Drug Free America Foundation, Dr. Paul Chabot of Chabot Strategies and many others. 

As a speaker on drug policy and treatment reform issues, human trafficking, environmental issues and political campaigns she has appeared in print news such as The Los Angeles Times, on TV News and radio talk shows from Geraldo Rivera Live, Bill Bennett's Morning in America, KABC 790 Talk Radio, CBS, NBC, FOX News, CNN, HLN's Dr. Drew, America Trends with Dr. Gina Louden, the National Review, the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, Arizona Politics & Culture, Live! with Dave! Diamond, Russian Television (RT) The Alyona Show, National Swedish Television, Japan TV and others.
